Do most people in Singapore like the climate?

I’m an Australian (from Adelaide) who’s had some short visits to Singapore and also stayed as a stopover to Europe a few times.

The city is super interesting and the food and public transport is great but there’s one thing I don’t think I could ever get used to. The climate.

While the storms and rain seem kind of awesome the heat and humidity was a shock to my system. On my recent stopover I tried walking around the neighbourhood near my hotel but had to turn back fairly soon as I was just getting soaked in sweat. There was an icecream stall on the way back to the hotel and all I wanted was mango icecream 😁

My city does get hot but I know there will be cooler days and we have seasons so a good chunk of the year is bearable.

Do any of you miss having a winter of some kind or do you thrive in the tropics?
