I had a check-up at the hospital and realised how much I miss the physical touch of a woman

So, a bit of backstory: I'm a 30 year old severely depressed and lonely guy. The last 3 years have been some of my worst and since NYE 2021 I can count the amount of times I have left my house on my fingers. I cut off my friend group after that night so I haven't even been down the pub in that time, so as you can imagine, my contact with women in that time has been near 0.

Anyway, I went to the hospital today as I had been having some chest pains and various other problems. I was eventually put in the hands of a doctor who looked around my age. She did the usual checks which included her holding my wrist and applying pressure to my abdomen with her hands. It was at this moment I realised how much I have missed the touch of a woman, and honestly, it was almost as if in these moments I didn't feel alone anymore. It felt so good, and I felt so pathetic at the same time.

Now I'm back home, alone.
