A crush on INFP

Hello INFPs. I need your advice.

I'm a male ENFP and I have a crush on my INFP male friend. We met by chance whilst walking down the school hall, which I was instantly captivated by his beautiful cinnamon brown eyes. Met him again in the toilet, and i striked a short conversation, and regretfully forgot to ask for his contact details. After weeks of loooking for him, he appeared in front of me and I quickly asked for his instagram, then later his number.

I thought to myself, if I wanna like this guy, I wanna like him for who he is. So we've been hanging out a lot. We go to the gym, run and soon he's teaching me to play piano. We chat sometimes, but we talk way more when we meet F2F.

I'm starting to like him more now, not just physically, but everything about him. Amd I've been loving being his friend now.

I've been holding this emotion for months now. I can't forward without telling him my true feelings. But what if he doesn't feel the same way? I don't want to lose him. He is a great friend, and I appreciate our friendship more than anything.

My question to you guys is, how would you reject a good friend, and will this confession affect your friendship in any way? (example: awkwardness, uncomfortable, physically distancing)

P.s I'm feeling very anxious about this, as you know this guy is probably straight. And he might not be comfortable knowing I'm gay. Even if he tries to be kind, he may still show a slight sign of discomfort, so I'm overthinking about this😣
