Can anyone suggest a good volunteering fit based on my situation?

Hello, I’m a 44 year old guy who is pretty isolated and I’m looking to make new friends and also help people out. I figured volunteering would be a good way to do this so I’m looking for some suggestions. Can anyone help me?

The first thing I would ask is there a general source or website for all (or a lot of) the volunteer opportunities in the valley? Secondly I would ask if anyone has specific suggestions based on what I’m looking for.

• To volunteer in a setting either directly helping people out with something, or the community/environment. Some examples would be picking up trash, serving food, handing out water, Etc. (not limited to those examples)
• Either a volunteer group that does different volunteer events, or a consistent single repeating volunteer event that has people who go to it fairly regularly. In essence also trying to meet new people and hopefully some friends so maybe an event or group that also is friendly and has camaraderie?
