insert joke about Branco recycling here.

Because it’s the left that always talks about all-meat diets, right? Goddamn it this is dumb.

The beef industry too (which is basically part of the GOP)

https://www.beefmagazine.com/beef/future-meat-maggots

it is a right-wing talking point.

"The left wants us to eat bugs while the rich eat steak and fine dine in their mansion. They are tricking the normal folks, with climate change, to eat bugs while the rich eat steak and beef products"

It attacks the point that Americans should eat less red meat for our health and the environment. Also bug aren't a normal part of the American diet (or even western industrialized countries) and thus it is easy for grandma to attack something that most would think is disgusting and unnatural (edit) to eat.

I mean that's the entire right wing culture war right there.

I often wonder what it's like inside the heads of these guys. Like, do they actually believe, as a sincere perception of the real world, that forced bug-eating is an imminent mandate? Or do they know they're lying?

I suspect there's a third option, a sort of... Potemkin belief. It's a thing that you're required to hold as true, and defend as a sincere belief, but with the implicit understanding that it can be changed or discarded as necessary, and probably will be. I think once you have that category in your head, a lot of stuff gets easier to live with.

Branco's drawing skills are so poor that he should label things as much as Ben does, or more so, because half the time, you can't tell what Branco's are drawings OF.

...That's John Kerry!?

Branco should take some of Ben Garrison's labels.

It's supposed to be John Kerry, whose wife is from the Heinz family.

The World Economic Forum is an evil place but then again I am a Marxist.

Grandma Branco thinks the World Economic Forum will force us all to eat bugs.
