Just got a call from the southwestern advantage “internship” people, figured I should post here in case anyone else isn’t aware like I wasn’t until a few minutes ago.
I know now that it’s a pretty well known pyramid scheme, but I didn’t know that when their representatives took over the beginnings of my lectures for a few days, and I just want to make sure anyone who isn’t aware now knows.
I just received a call from one of their representatives about an informational zoom meeting that’s happening tomorrow, and had her put down my name for it. I thought it was an internship mostly for science majors because those are the classes I heard about it in, but they literally just turn you into a door to door salesman and operate like a cult. I have no idea why they aren’t banned from A&M.
Probably beating a dead horse, but thought I should share just in case. Don’t take their offer if you’re given a chance to.
