Worried about new helix piercing with butterfly back

So I just got my first piercing earlier today since I was a baby and decided to get the helix piercing. I've done research on how to care for it and such but after getting the piercing I just found out about the butterfly backs. Mine has one and now I'm a bit concerned. I've read that it isn't ideal, but does this mean I have to change the earring? The piercer was very clean and hygienic with everything as I watched him. He told me that the material for the jewelry was surgical grade, but tbh I forgot the exact material. He used a needle, not a piercing gun. But now I'm worried because of the butterfly back. It isn't pressed up against my ear and there seems to be space between the backing and my ear (I guess for swelling room?). Do I NEED to get the back changed or can my piercing heal properly if I take proper care of it?
Also, how does the positioning of the piercing look? The top of my ear really folds over so I feel like this was possibly a decent placement for it to not be hidden. But I don't know too much about piercings yet, which is why I'm asking you guys. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
