Should I stay at my job that is negatively impacting my health due to stress
I (20F) started working in a long-term stay hotel about three months ago. It is my second full-time job and the one before that lasted over a year. In terms of financial responsibilities, I am very fortunate. I pay my parents a very low rent, which they are willing to not take if anything happens with my job or I begin attending school (which I plan to asap), but I save most of my money (for college and luxuries like a vacation I am taking with my friend in late March)
My biggest issue is that I'm not getting hired. I've been applying for jobs I meet and exceed the qualifications for and I am never chosen. I've been looking for a few weeks as promises that were made when I signed on we're never delivered.
I hate to say this, but working there is causing me so much stress that, in addition to my mental health, my physical health is being effected negatively. I have gotten two migraines in the past week where I hadn't had a single one for 8 months beforehand, my menstrual period is almost a month late (not active so it can't be pregnancy), and I've been getting more and more fatigued. There has been no change in my diet or exercise. The only change in my life has been the amount of stress I'm in because I'm not getting the 40 hours a week I was promised and am instead averaging at 34, I was not properly trained, and my availability is being ignored in the scheduling constantly.
I'm wondering if it is worth it to my physical health to continue working until I am able to find another job, or if the rapid issues I am seeing make it not worth it. Is it worth missing a few weeks of saving if it means my health is in better shape?
TL;DR: Is it worth it to keeping a job when it is rapidly causing a decline in your physical health, even if you do not get another source of income before leaving
