Help with finding a haunted restaurant.

About a decade ago my friends and I wandered into a restaurant pretty close to Times Square that had a haunted gimmick. You had to pull on a candelabra to open a secret door, the pictures had moving eyes and they had a show where they brought a Frankenstein to life. It was pretty cheesy but I think my 8 YO would love it and I’m taking her to see a play next month for her B day. I forgot the name and was wondering if it was still around.

Jekyll and Hyde Club! I used to love that place when I was younger. Unfortunately it’s permanently closed now

Yeah that name sounds familiar now thanks a lot. Sucks that’s it’s closed my kid would have loved it . I guess we’ll have to go to Sophie’s for the fried pork chops with that awesome green sauce . That was my favorite lunch spot when I worked there .

They closed? I forgot about that place. I still have some mugs from there.

Maybe look into beetle house—it’s in the east village, but it might fit the bill.

Doe anyone remember the "Speak Easy" downtown? Hidden bookcases, tea cups for drinks? Password to get in? Maybe long gone. But was fun!

We had a place in Philly in the late 90s where you would go down this scary looking alley and when you got inside and down the steps was a 1920’s style club with live swing bands and cigarette girls walking around . That place was wild .

What was the arcade near Times Square with laser tag on the bottom floor? Probably 20 years ago.

Not quite the same thing (and not as convenient a location if you're doing Broadway) but all the way downtown on Stone Street there's a wizard-themed restaurant called The Cauldron. If your kid is at all into Harry Potter, she might enjoy that.
