Hi, i want to create a tracker box that can communicate to a host computer via RF, (LoRa maybe?)

I have done the best in googling by myself, but im kinda stuck now so i wanted to ask for help here.

Requirements:

This is for an open-air strategy game I'm working on and it should work trough about 3 km of forest. In the end, i want to create a system that can "live" (every few secs) display the location of all the 20ish trackers on two host computers, and be able to deliver "artillery strikes", so some kind of the host sending a signal to some trackers, and the blink an led or something similar. It only needs to send 1 int and 2 floats/doubles from tracker to host, and 1 int and 1 bool host to tracker.

Some kind of antenna?
