Are Venlil canonically sheep-like, or is this a fan-canon thing? I notice that fans seem to draw and describe them like that, but I don't recall it being mentioned the story.

What does it mean to be sheep like? They have curvy monochrome wool and their calls have been referred to as "bleating". But they also have slender ears and paw pads. To me they clock as both sheep and bunnies

The primary, superficial trait I'd personally zero in on is the wool. Everything else is secondary to me. This clarifies things, since I didn't recall their sounds being described as 'bleating'. I mostly remember descriptions of high-pitched voices and, in one instance, mewling. Sheep-bunny is a good interpretation. I thought I recalled them having a lean build with digitigrade legs, so I pictured something like this (but with sideways-facing eyes, no nose, no hooves edit: and somewhat more alien-shaped heads).
