Advice for a newb

I got the game a few days ago and my hunter is at 1535 (soft cap?). What would be the best use of time left before lightfall? Should I get as many season rewards as possible? If so is bounties on my hunter the best xp, or would running two alts through the campaign be better? What would you all suggest I do?
