What’s the cost to have it serviced?
I’ve heard different things. Once trijicon receives it, they test the tritium. If it is considered dim, and within the 15 year warranty for dual illuminated optics, they swap it for free. If it passes the test, the customer has the option to pay for it I believe. But they swap all the internals, not just the tritium lamp. I’ve heard anywhere from 300-500 dollars.
Nice!
I have a 2013 manufactured Acog also in green. And after looking through some of the new production acogs on the market I'd say run it how it is for now. The brand new tritium blooms so brightly that most people tape over the fiber optic anyway. I find that without covering the fiber it is about the perfect brightness for most conditions. If you're worried about having a bright fast reticle for CQB, that's what a offset or piggyback dot is for anyway
Hell I wish mine was that good. Mine is a TA44 with the RTR reticle, and it was born some time last year 2022. It's super dim in low light and I have to wait a good while to see anything in complete darkness. -_-
If those pics are in total darkness your tritium is strong.
You can also just cover the fiber with your hand or an object in regular light to see the strength that way
