How to prompt not to draw in black areas from a reference image, or to respect an alpha channel?

How can I prompt midjourney not to draw in black areas? So for example I want it to apply a prompt to a sphere in the middle of an image, but I don't want midjourney to do anything where the photo is black (outside the sphere)
