[Thank You] If we got rid of "I Can't Believe it's Not Butter®, the world would be a butter place. Why did the toasted bagel break up with margarine? For a butter lover. This guy robbed me of all my milk, cream, cheese, & butter. How dairy?!!?

Thank You

u/sebisrude RUDE?!? OH NO, HONEYBABY, HUSH! SEBISMYSWEETIE!!!!! Let me count the wonderful ways - this perfect typewriter-like handwriting (is this for REAL your handwriting?!? OMG give it to me now!!!!), this adorable handmade card (in one of my new fave colors, bright orange), & these darling pink-themed washi samples! Thank you for this delightful card! Wishing you fridge-fresh Sharpies in your fave colors & that your sworn enemy takes one look at your perfect handwriting & croaks from jealousy. Probably the same jerk who said my Seb sweetie is rude! ;)

u/Scared_Deerfox What a terrific, thoughtful treat to receive your sweet sentiments all the way from Germany to commemorate “International Handwriting Day”! Thank you!! I love the beaming beauty, that sugary sweet smiling pear sticker gracing the neat postcard of the University of Konstanz. Super cute foodie stickers & ink stamps on the envelope. =) I admire your fancy, fabulous old-timey-classic cursive script so very much! Wishing you a bottomless barrel of your favorite colored ink to pen your perfect postcards & the good fortune of never bearing witness to my horrendous handwriting, kind friend!

u/desrae2002 Thank you for this super sugary sweet “Wood you be mine” woodchuck V-Day card!!! The woodchuck’s adorable pink nose made me wanna pinch it silly - cute!!! You asked - “How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?”

Friend - he would chuck, he would, as much as he could, and chuck as much wood as a woodchuck would if a woodchuck could chuck wood.

But I couldn’t just leave it alone there & move on to my next “thank you” post. So I thank you, kind friend, for the inspiration to procrastinate further on my woeful work-in-progress to conduct additional, monumental research.

I report: “A New York fish and wildlife technician named Richard Thomas had calculated the volume of dirt in a typical 25–30-foot (7.6–9.1 m) long woodchuck burrow and had determined that if the woodchuck had moved an equivalent volume of wood, it could move ‘about 700 pounds (320 kg) on a good day, with the wind at his back’”.

Here’s a question for you, friend. Betty Botter bought some butter but, said she, “The butter’s bitter. If I put it in my batter, it will make my batter bitter. But a bit of better butter will make my bitter batter better.” So she bought some better butter, better than the bitter butter, put it in her bitter batter, made her bitter batter better.

So, friend, should I be glad Betty bought some better butter or should I smack/baste her buttery bottom for making me bananas behind on my woeful work-in-progress? But seriously, thank you for the sweet thoughts!! Hope you had a beautiful V-Day - wishing you unsalted, never bitter, beautiful butter for life (OMG, never again with sassy salty butters - I’m so hooked on unsalted, I had no idea until last year that it’s so much fresher without the salt preservative. I just sprinkle a little pink salt along with it & it’s divine)!

u/MrPotato2753 Are you related to my friend, u/mostvaluablepotato ? Because it looks like someone created their username after meeting you. Haha, just kidding, not trying to create a potato war/famine here with dueling potatoes. You BOTH are my sweet potatoes. I love this pretty watercolor card of the night sky & forest! I also love your passion for tea. It was so kind of you to send me these unique tea bags & fun stickers even though I was kinda expecting potatoes. Thanks also for including instructions on how best to drink the tea! Wishing you a lifetime supply of your fave tea & that you don’t sprout those weird potato eyes that creep me out, kind friend!

u/Typical-Ad-897 Thank you for this gorgeous illustrated postcard of painter, fiber artist, educator, & activist Faith Ringgold! What an inspiring figure! I also love this Jim Rohn quote you wrote for me: “Either you run the day, or the day runs you.” So wise! Here’s a quote for you: “Each day is a little life: every waking and rising a little birth, every fresh morning a little youth, every going to rest and sleep a little death.” - Arthur Schopenhauer Hmmm, I like it, but the end might be kinda creepy. Wishing you the best of days you run ragged & peaceful little sleepy deaths, fine friend!

u/OneDarkandStormyKnit I’d like to buy your awesome username, please. Thanks for the adorable illustrated chipmunk postcard! I admire that you’re a gardening enthusiast! Wishing you the deepest layers of merry mulch to annihilate weeds!

u/alluu3 Thank you for this PERFECT illustrated postcard of inventor & film actress Hedy Lamarr! I was especially excited because I first learned about Hedy when I volunteered at a film festival a few years ago & we screened a documentary on her. I’ve been obsessed with her ever since. What a fascinating figure & hero! Wishing you chocolate chip cookies that are as sweet & as crispy as you!

MYSTERY SENDER u/WinterDoodle2023 (I'll keep looking for the proper username) Thank you for this fabulous El Camino postcard with the awesome film recs: “I will start off with 3 movies everyone should watch once: 1. Pecker (1998) - it’s a great Jon Waters film! 2. May (2002) - I absolutely love this dark comedy about a misfit w/ a lazy eye. 3. A classic I can’t live without is Arsenic & Old Lace (1944). Timeless comedy & so many people can relate to having a crazy family.” I’m so grateful for your recs & can’t wait to watch these films! BTW I LOVE that you referred to these works as “films” & not “movies”!!!!! I prefer the uppity awesome term “film” as well!!!! I think I saw Arsenic & Old Lace when I was a kid but don’t recall much so it’s time for a re-watch. I do enjoy Jon Waters films but haven’t seen that one. The premise for May sounds incredible & right up my weirdo alley!!! Your taste in film has me so excited! Can’t wait to check out these gems. Some of my film faves include Stranger than Fiction, Lars & the Real Girl, Little Miss Sunshine, & Jeff Who Lives at Home. I also flipped over this hilarious doodle you included of the bald guy asking the unhappy tree if he got a haircut. So funny!!! Wishing you doodling adventures in every season & that you continue to find fun films!

u/Missmercuryvintage Thank you for this bright, beautiful homemade collage postcard with the kids reading in front of the sunny horizon! This is just gorgeous! =) I love your use of color & admire your fancy art skills so much! I also giggled that you threw in a bonus of what I assume is a trademark u/Missmercuryvintage shower thought - “P.S. Are snails meat?” I was starving before I read your sweet card. Now I kinda wanna throw up LOL!! But I’m so lucky to be on the receiving end of your perpetually inspired thoughts. =) Thanks so much for the cool creative treat!! =) Wishing you more deliciously disgusting shower thoughts! I swear, this is a massive compliment because I’m crazy envious of whatever hookup you have with the creative shower thought Gods!!!! =)

u/abigailrose16 x 2 Thank you for the cheery, colorful Thera-Pets postcard with the motivation & lovely quote: “Take time to marvel at the wonders of life.” - Gail Lundy. I love the floral sticker you used on the envelope! Thank you for the bright, beautiful purple postcard with the slogan “Delight in all you can.” I like the fun quote you wrote from Joe Moore: “It is practically impossible to look at a penguin & feel angry.” I never thought about it before, but that sounds about right. But you know who might be feeling a tad angry/jelly that unprompted, you sent *me* penguin quote love? My buddy u/pinkpengin. Haha kidding, I know they’re happy I got some of that perfect penguin love! ;) But I’m still sleeping with this penguin postcard under my pillow. ;)

u/pinkpengin LOL LOL LOOOVE this cemetery card, “Rhapsody of Summer Night”!!!! When I see this weird-as-freaking-hell-creepily-perfect-piece-of-postcard-pecan-praline-pie, I sit in awe of y’all (a majestic magnet to all things wonderfully weird & beautifully unholy) & think of a fave quote, “Be the weird you want to see in the world.” It makes me incredibly happy that y’all are my “wish-I-were-THIS-damn-weird” role model - no one could be weirder or wackier. The “Let the professionals do their job” bit is awesome, as are the fun stickers (Hotel “Le Concorde” is joy!!!) & the instax polaroid! Wishing you lots more penguin love, but not any that oddly gets routed to me. Thanks in advance for not stealing my shiny new penguin paraphernalia (see post above y'all's).

u/KingnBanter Thanks for the “Follow Your Dreams” card with the cute collage-y vibest!!! I appreciate your fascinating book rec from Michael Pollan - “The Omnivore’s Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals.” That’s going on my TR list now! I had heard of it before but your excitement & enthusiasm for this book excited me! WOW - you also taught me about “chantarelle hunting” - how neat-o that you not only taught me about this fancy wild mushroom that can’t be cultivated, but also that there are actual trips to hunt them! I’m happy for your happy news that you’re going on a chantarelle hunt early next month - I’m so intrigued. It would be fun to capture your adventure in a documentary! Wishing you the magic of mushrooms (but maybe not magical mushrooms - I heard Will Smith did ‘em - maybe that’s why he went all Russia on Chris Rock). ;) Thank you for sharing your fun lifestyle goals & trip plans with me. So unique. Hope your hunt makes you happy!

u/jakezyt x 2 Thank you for making my heart flutter & flip over this fabulous pair of artsy bookstore postcards!!!! How sweet & generous you were to gift me both since you weren’t sure which one I’d like!! They’re so utterly, unbelievably gorgeous & the bright colors brightened my spirits so much. How nifty that you’re a radical reading rebel!! Loving that you’re focusing on banned books!! I need to start a new TR shelf - naughty it is, thanks for the inspiration! =) Best books I’ve read in years - historical fiction books by Amor Towles, including “The Lincoln Highway” & my fave, “A Gentleman in Moscow.” Thanks so much for your kindness. Wishing you beauty & bottomless beverages of your choice as you feast upon banned books! =)

u/mtlsmom86 Thank you for the peace you sent me with the “Enjoy Each Day” coffee & book-themed card. Love the coffee sticker & personalized ink stamp with your username. You mentioned you’re a fan of podcasts & cooking shows - would love to know which ones if you get a chance. One of the best books I’ve ever read: “Kitchen Confidential” by the late great Anthony Bourdain, who was the most phenomenal writer in addition to being the best in the culinary field. Hoping you’re able to do all the things that bring you enjoyment each day!

u/Dat_Boysenberry3160 Thank you for the cheerful “Choose Happy” honeycomb-themed card & stickers! I enjoyed reading about your optimistic outlook on life & the joy that InConWriMo has gifted you. That’s so inspiring! Wishing you infinite happiness as you write & as said in the film “You’ve Got Mail” - “a bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils!”

u/Powerful_Cobbler_215 Powerful, indeed. So poetically powerful you had me teary-eyed!!! THANK YOU!!! Love poetry penned just for me, a stranger?!?!? This made not my day, but my year!! I’m absolutely stunned by the ****resplendent*** rhyme you wrote for me - I’m so touched that I can’t even share it here because I’d blush like a tomato. You’re INCREDIBLY, INSANELY TALENTED!!! I love to rhyme, and know how difficult it can be so I appreciate your amazing talent so much! I find your gift (your gift at creating this verse & this literal gift you gave me) to be crazy inspiring - all your happy mail recipients are so lucky!! But not only did you create this poetry that made me swoon - but also the awesome homemade “Love disappoints - pizza is eternal” card!!! Your art is so fresh & fun. You made me melt like the gooey-gorgeous pizza cheese you drew! Love all the soothing colors & patterns you chose for the card, along with the positively pawdorable pics of Toffee, Cobbler, & Souffle!! How awesome are their names?!? Thanks for being sweeter than the best cobbler I’ve ever eaten (at The Sizzler in Bryan, Texas when I was a kid). Wishing you the endless joy you gifted me & that your classy, charismatic, cake-like cobbler texture is always adored & appreciated! And that no one ever mistakes you for a mere crisp or cold-hearted crumble (or, God-forbid, - a sinister streudel). =)

u/retrorabbit79 Who could meet these pastel smiling sweeties on this delightful card & not be instantly infected with their energy & enthusiasm?!? Thank you for sending these sweeties & smiles my way! Love the grumpy chicken return address label - and whaaat, it’s wearing a skull hairbow?!? Hahaha, love your style! Wishing you endless smiles!

u/DollieSqueak Thank you for the festive V-Day wishes, which you decorated with so much love! What sweet stickers & fun felt hearts. =) Can a southern girl have enough felt pink hearts? Heavens no, darlin’!! ;) Wishing you boundless joy & a flurry of fantastic felt hearts, friend!

u/quiet_girl7982 Thank you for the pretty watercolor Valentine wishes! So sorry to hear you haven’t been feeling well - hope you feel better soon. I LOVE the anecdote you shared from a teacher friend: “One of the basketball players overheard in the hall to one of the years after season swimmers: ‘My favorite stroke is the breaststroke, we could have a lot of fun after the Valentine’s dance.’ I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry or face palm…” ROFL!!! What a treasure that you & RAoC could transport me back to high school with this gem of a story! I wish you good health & an endless supply of cringey, hilarious high-school gossip which you then continue to share with all of us!

u/bifi-irl Thank you for your colorful thank-you card with the happy lime green flowers & your thoughtful message & the fun stickers! Your sweet message made me smile!!! Whatever nonsense I may have said to you - I’m so grateful you appreciate nuts like me! Wishing you so much sunshine - but not so much that it makes your hair frizz. I’m sorry, I haven’t slept properly & have a horrid headache. I wish you so much sunshine you need sunglasses??!? I think I'll spare you & your beautiful eyes & stop now, you sweet n' sunny soul!

u/zuuzuubean Thank you for the thank you postcard decorated with the bright, fun washi! I’ve noticed lately how nicely pink, green, & orange go together. It was my pleasure to help you celebrate your birthday - looking forward to keeping in touch with you! =)

u/catnatomy HOLY WOW!!! Thank you for this delectable treat of a card!!!! Love everything about it - from the vintage-y V-day playing card theme to your sublime, bright floral artwork (you’re so talented!!!!), to your super pretty handwriting song lyrics (LOVE how you wrote in black ink & then went over it with purple marker - stunning) to the awesome love playlist you customized!! Can’t wait to add all these songs to my playlist - I totally needed help in this department so I really appreciate you! For others to enjoy, here are the She & Him “Thieves” lyrics you wrote for me:

“We two are makers

Just made this mess

Two broken hearts don't beat any less, oh

There's thieves among us

Painting the walls

With all kinds of lies, the lies I

Never told at all

And I know, and you know too

That a love like ours is terrible news…”

I love your taste!! I so appreciate the loving time you took to create this gem for me & to share your tremendous talents & thoughts! I also love the sweet stickers you included. Wishing you days full of love that mirror your favorite love lyrics! Hope that makes sense - pretty much the opposite of a day full of lyrics by The Moldy Peaches, which I share with you here:

Anyone Else But You by The Moldy Peaches

Here is the church and here is the steeple

We sure are cute for two ugly people

I don’t see what anyone can see

In anyone else but you

Thanks again for the sweet treat!! ;)

u/missnettiemoore Thank you for the positively delightful “misfit card” that gives you “an excuse to buy more cards” hahaha! Sounds like we all win here!!! I LOVE this exquisite artwork featuring the retro Dodge convertible & the tourists eyeing something in the pretty pastel distance! Do you recall the title of this series? I love the art so much I wanna see more pics! Thanks for thinking of me with the beautiful card - hope your 2023 is continuously fabulous!

u/birdiebennett Thank you for the GORGEOUS Lego postcards! The bright colors & floral/makeup themes make me smile so much! Wishing you smiles & peace. =)

u/melhen16 Thank you for the vintage postcard of California State University in Sacramento with your fun joke - “Why didn’t the boy believe the tiger? He thought it was a lion!” LOL! I also love this movement-oriented brainy quote from Einstein you shared: “Life is like a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.” That’s a true gem from a mental giant! Thank you! Wishing you life balance on your pretty bike ride!

u/storyalternative6476 Thanks for the quirky postcard of the sneaky cat eyeing to see who’ll watch him devour this tasty slice of pie! That’s the funniest look on his face! =)

u/OkayFlan X 3 Thanks for the cuuute pink postcard of the little girl in the rhino (?) pajamas!!! The pink stickers of the flowers, bear, and little girl you used to decorate the postcard along with the pink-petal washi tape…awwww, you know how to make my heart hurt in the best way!!! Thanks for tickling me pink again with the kawaii png graphic of the pastel strawberry, bananas, star, fruit, & kawaii smiling sweetie. You have a knack for picking the cutest postcards!!! I love the stickers you used to decorate it - I find myself obsessed with smiling inanimate objects hahaha like the adorable lemon & apple. But I’m a little disturbed that the smiling apple has a fork coming at it - which barbarian artist makes me go “Awww how cute” one second & then weep in horror the next?!? I think the rule is - if there is a face on an object, even if it’s typically inanimate, we vow to only eat it maybe if it's not so cute or if it's frowning. Oh you hit me with happy with the sticker of the little girl loungin’ on a pink piece of watermelon with an ice cream cone dumped on top of her head!!! So cute!!! Thanks for the “Take the road less traveled: you don’t have to wear pants” postcard with the awesome graphic of the pantless girl celebrating in front of the rising sun with her arms in the air!! This is so fun. I’m a bit perplexed as to why she’s wearing a shirt if she took off her pants hahaha! Thank you so much for your words of wisdom on creativity. To inspire others with your encouragement: “You are a creative person, so believe in yourself & your ability. You’ll be able to turn this mess into a masterpiece.” Thank you for all your beautiful, positive energy! Wishing you the joy of creating messes & masterpieces!

u/Irene_000 x 2 I’m so happy I finally tracked you down!!!!! I was devastated to not see a username on the awesome cards you sent but finally found you going through a billion old posts. Because you sent the sweetest cards! I love the giant robot card (which is also special because it’s one of the first RAoC cards I ever received) & the gorgeous self-love watercolor card so much! The artwork is just to-die-for. It was so kind of you to encourage me to practice self-care with the delightful tea bags you sent as well! I hope that you’re taking care of yourself as well. Wishing that the joy you bring to others multiplies a billionfold & returns to you, sweet friend!

u/GothWitchofBrooklyn Thank you for the dazzling postcard of “The November Meteors” - meteor showers are so very magical! The meteor shower on the card looks like a party in the sky!!! =) Wishing you magical nights as pretty as the postcard!

u/Katier127 Thank you so much for the lovely illustrated postcard of your downtown fountain that also benefited your local Historical Society! I’m so grateful that you’re contributing toward the preservation of history - it’s so very important. The way the US flag drapes over the structure behind the fountain is so majestic. I can’t even imagine how glorious it looks during the holidays if it looks this beautiful on an ordinary day! I also loved the bright stickers you used of the orange wedge & adorable little mason jar with the slogan “Enjoy the little things.” You helped me do just that by sharing your sweet historical enthusiasm with me! Thanks again! :)

u/doggotoast x 2 Thank you for the lovely art postcard of “The Bouquet” - what fancy brushstrokes! I also love the great tip you offered for ordering coffee - to ask the barista to surprise you! I dig your fun sense of adventure!!! I’ll totally try it next time. =) Thanks also for the Johanna Basford coloring postcard treat - can’t wait to color it once I’m done with my pending RAoC to-dos! Thanks for sharing that you’re “ready for flowers & hummingbirds again” - this sounds so beautiful! Hope they both come your way super soon!
