I use Google Sky, is there a better app for identifying astronomical bodies?

Its whatever you prefer. I find Google sky sufficient for what I need.

Planets. You ever heard of em?

These are a lot brighter than the tiny little dots that fill the sky at night. Not sure what those are either! I heard some of them come from some guys belt.
2
Clearly, a Chinese spy balloon.

It’s weird how the conjunction made them so much more noticeable

Yes. Jupiter and Venus. Just like the five thousand other posts about "two dots in the sky" tonight.
They are looking pretty cool though. So far today I’ve seen both clouds and planets posted online as weirdness. The proliferation of smart phones with cameras is creating more noise than I imagined back in the ‘90s.
Lol I can only imagine what Nextdoor was like.
it was horrendous at first, until some people started posting links or explaining the planets. so many "airplanes, UFO" sensationalism. I had the personal pleasure of looking straight at them last night and ripping a bowl/looking at my phone only to look back up and not see them. I then proceeded to shrug it off and take another bowl
Take a look at r/LosAngeles

Boys to to Jupiter to get more stupider
What he say?
Something to the effect that those lights couldn’t be planets, and they’re an idiot
