Why you "can't post" and some basic housekeeping.

PinnedMOD NOTE

The subreddit is restricted. This means only certain "Approved Users" can post here. Why is it that way? It's that way because this subreddit was left largely unmoderated for most of 2022. Due to this a reddit admin stepped in about 3 months ago and made the subreddit restricted. Quite frankly after coming back and checking out the subreddit I agreed with that decision and so I left it that way. I had a mostly laissez-faire approach to modding this subreddit but the way things were going it was likely to be banned if I didn't start doing something.

You can submit a join request to become an Approved User by clicking the button that says "Request to Post" on the right side of the subreddit. If you are using old reddit or mobile you may not be able to see this button. If that's the case then please do not message me directly. I will ignore it. Use the "Message the mods" button if you can't see the "Request to Post" button. If your account is under a certain karma threshold or account age, you will not be approved. If your request hasn't been approved within a day or two it was likely for good reason.

Content not relevant to Jim Cornette or his podcasts will likely be removed but that doesn't mean you are banned. Shitposts (images, memes, useless content, joke threads, etc.) can be removed regardless of relevance. Bigotry of any kind is not tolerated.

Very few people are actually banned from this subreddit and if you are it was likely done by a mod who has since left the mod team. I've only banned 1 singular person who was an obvious troll account with negative karma clearly here to cause trouble. I have no problem with differing opinions as long as you are open to a real discussion about them. If you resort to childish name calling or worse, you will be warned and then muted or banned.

I don't want to be a glorified internet janitor. It's a thankless job and having to "discipline" presumably grown men arguing over nothing on the internet is pisserable. Discuss Jim Cornette and pro wrestling as much as you want but just be civil.

The gist of it: Pretty much nothing has changed. Submit a join Request if you want to be an "Approved User". [Read the rules.] (https://www.reddit.com/r/JimCornette/about/rules/)
