I need help trying to figure out what the thing is on Barbatos' human world outfit by the orange triangles. I know it has an actual name and is an actual thing in this world and I have spent the past half hour trying and failing. I'm planning on working on a cosplay for Barbatos' human world look and need a better reference than a tiny corner from an anime-style game. Thank you all so much in advance.

My best guess is that it's a changshan with a peculiar cut (so basically the triangular orange part would be a fabric insert) tied with frog closures
I hadn't yet gone far enough in researching to try and figure out what the robe-like outfit itself was called. I was focused on the accessory he has, which seems to be a "Chinese knot" (thank you u/Drowsyyy-mushroom). There seems to be agreement that Barbatos's outfit is at the very least inspired by the "changshan," so thank you for helping by commenting!
I think it is a cheongsam with the particular part splicing that orange triangle fabric. And it adds a Chinese knot for decoration.
An image search of "Chinese knot" makes me think you're right on the money for what Barbatos has! Hard to tell with it being mostly hidden in the image, of course, but I do think you're onto something. Thank you so much for your comment!

If so, I'd like to know what it is too! I've recently been working on outfit descriptions for all the characters on The Obey Me Wiki, and there currently is no written description for Barbatos's Human World Look. I know essentially nothing about clothes or accessories (from my own country or anyone else's lol), but I'm still aiming to write that description anyway. Help in better knowing what to describe would be very greatly appreciated!
