Ran four missions, all four crashed, one of them twice. This was particularly annoying with DARPA.
I get that dedicated engine programmers are being hired to fix the legacy issues behind these crashes, but it sounds like this is going to take awhile.
Time trials make little sense for a looter shooter, so at least improve QoL by making this change.

came to the reddit to see if the game still crashes all the time. glad to see nothing has changed in the last 2 years.
For me crashes have increased since the last patch (majority are actual crashes with crash report & few CTD) . Like most, have tried all the so called fixes etc.
to hell with time trials, make a start game intros skippable!!!1 every goddamn crash, we need sit and watch that shite for a almost minute
That intro is almost certainly there for the game to load in the background, you're not waiting just to get through it while the game literally does nothing. Obviously loading and playing back the intro wastes some resources which makes the process take longer, but if this works as I supposed it does, having a blank screen instead of the intro would represent only a very, very marginal time saving.
yeah right, it's loading screen (wich loading time not affected by your driver speed), and after that "loading screen" you get another one, just for fun...

I'm well aware of these, and have tried a bunch with no noticeable change. I can play for hours with no issue, then get multiple crashes within a few minutes of each other.
The game needs to be fixed, and I know the team are working on it. Just make the leagues less painful in the meantime.
Top 3 things I do when the D2 crashes on my PC:
It may not fix your issue, but this normally makes my PC work for many sessions without a crash.
A possible bonus point, I reboot my PC a lot and always quit D2 and UbiConnect when I leave the game. YMMV.
Update the eac core files.
We did 2 of the time trial missions (and every invaded mission) just fine yesterday. Not a single crash for either of us.
I am seriously curious what the issues are that so many people constantly crash while others are perfectly fine (or crash maybe once a week)
Always run time trials in a group. Especially DERPA
