Enterprise architect vs Program manager?

Enterprise Architect vs Program Manager

Hi, there is an opportunity to take a role as enterprise architect in my company. They are willing, as am I, to put the effort in to gain the skills and use upcoming company strategy refresh as a vehicle for learning. I have a lot of background in large scale program and project management.... The strategy refresh will also result in a large program of work that I'd likely be tasked with delivering. I'm torn what to do. I feel like I want a change but I'm not sure whether this change in role longer term is a smart move or not. I do enjoy program management but I also enjoy working with strategy and aligning IT and Business. Would anyone have any thoughts or advice they could offer on the future proof and career sustainability of those two career paths? Thanks!
