I'm so confused on all of my photos and where they are stored.

I had a Galaxy S20 FE 5G that I accidentally broke. After switching to a Pixel 6 Pro, some of them are on Google Drive, some are in Google Photos, and some are in Gallery.

Is there an easy way to streamline so all of my pictures are in one place?

Also, not sure if this is a bug, but when I edit a photo, it saves a new copy. Is there a way to change a setting so the phone can simply keep the one photo?

Okay, last one: am I missing some photo "suite"? I feel like my Samsung was leagues ahead for photo editing. I feel like I'm halfway to what I expected so far. Battery life is sick though.
