Trying to figure out if I been used or WTF just happened. Me M(53) started dating F(51) almost 2 years ago. She was fresh out of a divorce and I had been out for 5 years. My boys are grown and gone, she has 1 gone and 1 senior in HS. We live about 100 miles apart. She can work remote so she tends to come to my place and work a lot. We hit it OFF, like perfect everything, sex was amazing. We had all the same outlook on life, right down to retirement ideas. Both have meant our respective families and children, this happened within 3 months. We had planned once her Senior graduated to move in together and hold on to her place on a lake as a cottage (kind of small ). That would have been this summer. Less than 3 weeks ago we talked about some plan we had for this summer. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

So, last November she received a large check from her X as he sold their house and this was part of their agreement. She decided she wanted some elective surgery and reached out for info last November after getting her check. I didn’t know this till this January when she had her pre surgery consultation. Finally she broke down and told me what she was doing. Yup, tummy tuck and face lift and lipo. Mind you she’s 5’10 and maybe 140lbs.. Either way we are not married and it’s her money. Surgery was 2nd week in February. I take her, pick her up, take care of her for 2 weeks, take her to follow ups and make sure all meds are set up, meals and coffee made. Hey, it’s what you do right?

So the Sunday she get ready to leave to head back home I notice she’s a little off. Figure she’s still pretty sore so no big deal. Said she had a busy week for work to catchup and had some big wigs coming in this week, nothing un typical for her. We text and talk daily. By Friday she’s slowly fading by not being available, missing calls, long time to reply to a text. No good night text. Whole weekend a ghost. (She has some partying single friends as well, but mind you 3 weeks post-surgery so not to wild for her) Finally Monday I call her out and I get the ILU but just don’t see a future for us… I was like WTF.. Can’t get any idea what changed. So did I just take care of you for 2 weeks and now you shit on me??

So no am I an asshole for expecting some $$? I spent over $800 on shit for her for that week and fuel to get her to appointment and follow ups ( it was 75 miles 1 way and made like 6 trips). Changed her vehicle oil before she left an all kinds of things only to get shit on 1 week later??

She admitted I took great care of her so what changed??
