What is the disruption process for med students?

For medical students/MOs who disrupted, how did the disruption process look like? I have a place in med school, and am going to enlist this month. How soon did you know if you were approved for disruption? Are there any factors that bar you from disruption? Does basically every male med student receive disruption? I want to know to start planning ahead and apply for campus accommodation if that is the case. Thanks!
