Interesting Article on Oral HPV

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0264410X21003406?via%3Dihub

Highlights:

The majority of sexually active individuals becomes infected with HPV at least once.

Little is known about prevalence rates and determinants of oral HPV infection.

Transmission to oral cavity and pharynx probably occurs through sexual contact.

Exposure of oropharyngeal mucosa to HPV depends on specific sexual behavior.

Specific high-risk groups for any prevalent oral HPV infection can be identified.

I would wonder if something like oral probiotics (I used to buy some on Amazon, specifically for dental health, I don't remember the brand but they made my mouth look, feel and taste great) would help with controlling oral HPV, as the article mentions disrupted oral flora. Just wondering... idle speculation.

I would anticipate as time goes on, that they will find other ways of oral exposure, not related to sexual behavior. Again.. just the way my brain works and I am not any sort of an expert at all. I'm just guessing that's what's gonna happen.
