Surgery and General Anaesthetic

Has anyone with sleep apnea (any type) been under a general anaesthetic while on CPAP? I ask this because I may need to have minor surgery in the next year and I've read that there is a higher risk of complications from anaesthetic both before and after, for people with sleep apnea. I'm worried. Do they take any extra measures for people like us? Do you tak your CPAP with you to the hospital? Any advice that might put my mind at rest would be appreciated. Thanks!
