Recently Stolen Bag

I recently had my bag stolen while working at the Bellis Fair mall. It was behind the counter and I was the only one working, so it was taken in a time frame while I was using the restroom. Mall security said they’d look at the footage to find it, although his tone of voice said “just get off the phone already.” I filed a police report and sent photos to the Bellis Fair security, but haven’t heard back.

I was wondering if there was anything I could do to spur action or retrieve the footage for my own viewing. I know a theft of this sort is kind of hopeless, but do I just have to suck it up or is there anything I can do to motivate investigation? thx
