Top 10 Most-Wanted Marvel Omnibus Secret Ballot

Hello.

I have come here today to promote the Top Ten Most Wanted Marvel Omnibus Secret Ballot, which is run annually by a user named tigereyes on the Marvel Masterworks fansite.

It works like this: everyone sends in a list of their top 10 most-wanted Marvel omnibuses to the email address MarvelOmniSecretBallot@gmail.com.

You have to rank your choices from 1 to 10, with one being your most-wanted omnibus. Votes are weighted, so every choice ranked first gets 10 points, second gets nine points, third gets eight points and so on down to the tenth choice getting one point.

The results are tabulated and sent to Omar of the Near Mint Condition channel on YouTube and he produces a video which reveals the results, which are also forwarded to Marvel’s collected editions department who use them to assess their release options.

The closing date for submissions is midnight on Sunday 19 March 2023.

Last year, three Star Wars omnibuses appeared on the list: Star Wars by Kieron Gillen; Poe Dameron by Charles Soule; and High Republic. The last of these has been announced as a forthcoming release later this year.

Some options to consider:

Current comics:

• Star Wars by Kieron Gillen / Greg Pak (collecting Star Wars (2015) #38-75, Star Wars Annual #4, Star Wars: The Last Jedi: The Storms of Crait #1 and probably some other odds and ends).
• Star Wars: Poe Dameron (collecting Star Wars: Poe Dameron #1-31, Poe Dameron Annual #1-2 and maybe Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren #1-4, since it’s also a Charles Soule series).
• Star Wars: Crimson Reign (collecting all the crossover issues).
• Star Wars: Bounty Hunters Vol. 1 (collecting Star Wars: Bounty Hunters #1-28).

Classic comics:

• Star Wars: The Old Republic, Vol. 2
• Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Vol. 1
• Star Wars: Legacy, Vol. 1
• Star Wars: Menace Revealed, Vol. 1

And just for fun!

• Indiana Jones: The Original Marvel Years
• Indiana Jones: The Dark Horse Years

Once again, the email address is MarvelOmniSecretBallot@gmail.com and the deadline is midnight, Sunday 19 April 2023.

Many thanks!
