Synopsis: A little girl's robotic best friend takes it's duty to protect too far.

A good movie if not wholly predictable. Megan is creepy as fuck and the acting from all parties is pretty good. Allison Williams plays the part of the impromptu parent and overworked engineer well and Violet McGraw's Cady does a decent job also if not a little overly petulant at times. Seeing Ronny Chieng play the loud-mouthed, asshole boss was a change from the stand-up comedian that I'm used to but he pulls it off.

The effects for the titular robot are top-notch and had me wondering whether or not M3GAN was a real girl or an actual machine. The bloodletting could have been ramped up a bit but the film did a fair job in the tension department helping to balance out the horror aspect.

Definitely worth a watch but don't expect anything revelatory.
