Cat has a fuzz stuck in his eye
My cat had a tooth extraction 6 hours ago and he’s still loopy from the anesthesia. He’s had a fuzz on his eyeball since he came home. He hasn’t slept yet and his pupils are still fully dilated. I tried to stealthy drop some water in his eye to help move it around, but he wasn’t a fan of me trying and I wasn’t sure it’d be great to put him through anything else today.
Is it going to work itself out, or will it cause irritation or infection if left unaddressed? should I keep trying to help him until the fuzz is removed? If I should persist, will a water flush be ok, is there a drop that’s safe for him?
This seems so benign in the grand scheme of things but it’s been a rough day and I just want to help him. Thank you in advance!
