Enchantment book complicity

Hello, I’m here to get some information and a better understanding of book combing and how it will effect my levels when enchanting a weapons or armor. Example one: if I combine adv protection 1 books till I have protection 4 will that affect how I apply it to my armor? Will it cost more levels due to the complicity? Will I not be able to apply any more enchantments due to this? I don’t care about the levels wasted creating the books. Only the levels used when applying it to the item. I have spend hour and hours looking for villagers and trading and raiding dungeons. I more prefer just collecting the levels and rewarding myself crafting and combing if possible. Example 2: if adv prot 4 book is applied to a armor piece and then disenchanted off the armor piece does it reset the complicity?
