[20F] First day of college in the United States being Latina

I'm Brazilian and I'm having my first day of college in a few weeks in US. It's a new country, new people and I'm terrified, I'm literally desperate. My English is decent but I don’t know if is enough, and that worries me because even talking to natives I don't understand some things. I saw some videos about people from other countries in America and it made me even more desperate because everyone says bad things, like people being rude and being isolated from everyone because everyone already has their own friends. I'm very nervous and I don't know what to do, I know I'm going to get lost since it's huge there.
