AoO Vashtorr Prediction

With Arks of Omen Vashtorr going on preorder tomorrow, I thought it'd be a good time to have a look back on Tarot cards 9, 10, 11, and 12, which coincide with Book 3. For those needing a refresher (it has been awhile) here those are;

IX. Daemon - Malevolus - "Daemon, the veil grows thin, malignancy bleeds through, from one world, into the next." - Depicts some spooky eyes looking through a broken wall.

X. Astartes - Angelus Mortis - "Astartes. And here stand the angels of death, bloodied, but unbroken." - Depicts an angelic figure in green robes, holding a broken sword and a shield, standing in front of a forest and a pyramid, and behind a pile of bodies.

XI. The Lightning Tower - De Fulminatorum Colossi - "The lightning tower. A great war. Fire and wrath unleashed on sacred rock." - Depicts a stone tower being struck by lightning amidst a raging sea.

XII. Daemon (Inversed) - Malevolus Invertus - "Daemon, inversed. And yet... chaos is fickle, forever turning upon itself." - Depicts two daemons stabbing each other.

9 & 10, to me, just set up Daemons (specifically Vashtorr himself) versus Dark Angels, which we know are happening. 11 is also straightforward, that established our battleground, The Rock, which again has been confirmed. That just leaves number 12. I think it's pretty safe to say it's pointing toward Chaos infighting, but I reckon that specifically it'll play out like this;

Vashtorr attacks The Rock, and battles Azrael, but Vashtorr's forces will be betrayed and rob him of his potential triumph. Betrayed by whom? Why The Fallen of course, did anyone really think they're gonna do a Dark Angels stories and not work the Fallen in there somewhere?

Despite this betrayal, I reckon that rather than outright losing, Vashtorr will merely fail to win as quickly and thoroughly as he expected, paving the way for a primarch to save the day in the final book. (as The Lion's return really seems to be what the Book 5 teasers are setting up)

I guess we'll see soon enough though.

Update: We now know, the Chaos Infighting was actually Be’lakor attacking Vashtorr.
