My bard has two weeks of downtime and I need to figure out what to do with it.
Pretty much exactly what I said in the title. My Noble High Elven Bard has two weeks of downtime, and I’m not sure what to do with it. He’ll be spending it in the capital city of a relatively advanced nation, so my opportunities are pretty open. He just lost a lot of Charisma after the party dealt with a hag, and researching how to get to the Feywild and get it back is an option my DM gave, but I want to leave that for higher levels. We’re currently level 8, and I just switched from Eloquence to Swords bard because of the loss in Charisma. We just turned in the baron who’d been working with the hag, and that brought out some stuff relating to his sense of duty towards his people. He’ll probably want to attend said baron’s trial, but that shouldn’t take two weeks.
We’ve been told that we can begin training a new skill, visit a special place in the city to make friends and influence people, investigate something, or advance our characters in some other way. Training for the new subclass, or talking with the local nobles are both things I’ve considered, but they don’t seem be exactly what fits best.
If any of you have ideas or advice for what to do with this downtime, I’d appreciate it.
