Paige's death

There's something that doesn't make sense about the episode where Cole alters reality and Paige sneezes appearing in that reality (I can't remember the name of the episode).

How is it Paige was killed in the reality that Cole "created"? They never explain it. What occurred that changed and kept Piper from casting To Call A Lost Witch? Paige learned about Prue's funeral from the paper that Witch Orbed to her due to Piper's spell. This is what led her to attend the funeral. Her attending is what led to Phoebe getting her Premonition about Shax killing Paige.
