Yeah I've heard about being able to see it under your history but some reason I can't. I can just see the a bout 5 most recent tabs I closed and that's about it. No tab groups or windows or whatever.

I sync my Google account so my history is pretty synced but tab groups aren't great for saving yet.

I often use the actual menu (go to History) after reopening Chrome if I have specific tab groups open that I wanted saved and Chrome crashed etc

This allows you to pick stuff that CTRL Shift T doesn't.

Yeah it's a terrible feeling... But it's also a wake up call to stop hoarding tabs xD.

I came here looking for someone with this exact problem. So long story short, I'm wondering if the newest Chrome update removed the feature to restore closed windows. 

Yesterday, the WiFi stopped working on my laptop (it worked for the rest of my household devices). I did have 30+ tabs open, but this has never caused the internet to cut out before. I reopened my computer hours later to find that the computer had restarted itself and Chrome updated itself. Initially all my tabs were reopened, but when I accidentally closed the window, the option to restore the window via History was gone. I really hope Chrome brings that feature back :(

Hey everyone.

When I opened up chrome today I tried to access a window full of tabs that I closed a few days ago. I know the old CTRL+SHIFT+T trick or the right click --&gt; reopen closed tab method. However I could not restore the window of tabs.

Now I believe the problem began when I created a NEW window of tabs. When I reopened chrome the following day I only reopened the NEW window without reopening the original and much larger window of tabs. The next day (today) I find that I can now no longer access my original browsing window and I can only reopen the few tabs that I opened in the new window.

Would anyone know of a way for me to recover all of my tabs? Or are they lost forever?

I can't reopen a window full of tabs that I closed. Is there a method to recover them?
