Build: TheSuperSlayer
It's been a while since Slayers were mentioned around here, so I thought I'd share my build and ask for comments or suggestions.
I go for 6/5/4/5/6.

Biotic Charge: I only use this in two situations. One is the "oh shit, oh shit, my barriers are down" panic button. The other is for dealing with captain class enemies, for want of a better word. By that I mean Centurions, Marauders, Collector Captains and Geth Rocket Troopers. The strategy is to Charge into them (which will most likely take a fair chunk out of their shields) and then repeatedly tap light melee until they die. It's quite fun, and fairly effective.
-
Phase Disruptor: I have to admit that I rarely use this skill. The only time I do use it is between reloads against heavier enemies like Brutes, Ravagers, Scions and such. It's useful to have for that, but otherwise I don't really like having to sacrifice my barriers, which is why I spent points on getting to Efficient Blast. I'm considering reducing it to rank 3.
-
Biotic Slash: Extremely useful at times, but it's not that easy to find good situations to use it. The ridiculously long ballerina animation makes it necessary to perform from behind walls or cover, and it's not too efficient for clearing up single targets. But when you manage to find a group of enemies who are separated from you by a wall, or else focusing on another team-mate, Biotic Slash is real fun.
-
N7 Slayer and Fitness: Standard-issue rank progression, picking up power damage bonuses on N7 Slayer and melee damage on Fitness' 4th and extra health/shields on the 6th. I didn't pick Martial Artist or Melee Synergy because I never use the heavy melee. I prefer the light melee and its triple teleport stab action.
-
Weapons and Gear: The Acolyte is everyone's favorite nowadays and for good reason. Whenever a heavyweight enemy pops up, you don't need more than a few shots to completely remove their shields/barriers. After that you swap to the SMG (I got blessed with a Hurricane IX, but I suppose a Tempest, Hornet or CSMG could work well too) with a High Velocity Barrel to deal with all health and armor-related issues.
This build's definitely Gold-viable, but since it's a Vanguard and I rarely play host, I don't risk anything above Silver. For some reason every time I play U / U / Silver, I get stuck with Collectors. Luckily, this build works pretty well against them.
