After a long wait to get the vertical riser for my O11D EVO, it finally arrived on Saturday morning. I got to work immediately, and did what I always do, and read the instructions carefully, twice. That done, I set to work testing to see which height I wanted it mounted at.
This is where I hit a snag. I followed the first two steps pictured in the instructions (See screenshot) and got ready to install it in the case. Only it wouldn't fit. After scratching my head, and questioning my sanity, I looked up an install video on the Lian Li YouTube page, and that's when I noticed the person removing a piece of the case, above the PCI slots.
Only that isn't in the printed instructions. You can see in the third image, that the piece has clearly been removed, but at no point is that step actually detailed. Sure, this isn't the biggest deal ever, but if you don't have any way to watch videos, you might not even notice that a step is missing, and you might erroneously think something is wrong.
Hopefully Lian Li see this, and do something to fill in the missing step in the printed instructions. Otherwise, all is good, and the riser itself looks amazing.
