Come to Moe’s valley. Everything is soft so you can “send V10” and flex on the gumbies on their first climbing day with their socks and puffy’s on because 50 degrees is “too cold” who will then go up north back to Salt Lake and try granite bouldering and get their asses kicked.

But it’s literally raining right now :(

We all hate comp style tho, right?

22
Stage4AutismOPSpeed offwidth Paris 2024•

/uj I kind of realized that comp style is set that way in part for moves to be flashy and to attract a broader audience. As a a consequence of this, people want to emulate what they see in the flashy comps, but most casual climbers will just end up getting a shoulder injury, giga sprained ankle etc. because the moves are just very swingy and gymnastic.

Anyway, I just got frustrated when I realized that some newer gyms just straight up do not have any problems that look like an outdoor boulder, it really makes staying in shape/ getting stronger for the next season much more boring unfortunately. Sorry for the boomer rant!

I actually did enjoy occasionally landing them but consistently practicing dynos aggravates my back issues. The only way out was to learn how to lead climb.
