[Mod Post] Avoiding the Q&A Recruiter-type threads.

I created this Subreddit because r/AirForce wasn't an enjoyable sub to follow. If you go there right now, on the first page there will be a civilian asking a question a recruiter would and could be easily able to answer. I had been verbal (on a different account) about my distaste. I politely answered questions but made it clear they should be asking their recruiter. I got chastised on a post and gladly unsubscribed.

Fine. I created a Subreddit tailored for Security Forces and Orignal Content. I made it clear in the sidebar on the very first day this is not the sub for civilians to ask questions their recruiters should be happy to answer. In fact, I'll quote the sidebar:

Note: If you are not yet Security Forces, but are currently DEP or Basic/Tech School. I politely advise you against posting content that detracts from the above stated description. Users face banning from this subreddit if posts aren't relevant to Security Forces in a way current/past SF members deem relevant. Message the moderator with questions.

I will post this thread in the sidebar. I'll also link to previous threads with the content I despise so I can consolidate the detracting content while still providing Customer Service that SNCOs would love for us to do. =P And I will hide them so they don't appear on the front page, but still capable of answering questions from the sidebar.

Post 1 Summary: Do you like it? What do you do on base and on deployments?

Post 2 Summary: Wants to be Pararescue, understands you start off as a gateguard, wants to know if there are other opportunities.

Post 3 Summary: Average day and deployment happenings.

Post 4 Summary: 820th, helmet cams, and preferential base choice.

Post 5 Summary: Wants "raw truth" instead of asking his recruiter. Presumably didn't read the sidebar before posting. Everything he or she found out could've been found out by reading the sidebar and following relevant links.

Post 6 Summary: Generally curious about wanting to join. Thinks starting SF and retraining would be a good option; truth is, it isn't. Also, read this for great explanation of being Security Forces.

Post 7 Summary: Mostly interested in what weapons SF uses and Tech School.

Next thing. I'm not so close minded that I won't admit I'm wrong or misguided. If someone feels that my opinion about civilians posting here is wrong or misguided I'd love input. So far we have 108 readers. If this got 108 replies with different ideas and opinions, great!

Sorry for the great length!

TL;DR:

Civilians should go to r/AirForce, if they tell you to come here refer them to every other post by civilians and quote my sidebar. Also I'll link to old posts but hide future ones. And I'm open for suggestions on my policies.
