dark spot toner and cream necessary?

Question

I have a dark spot serum already, do I also need a dark spot toner and cream? This is to fade dark spots on my cheeks.

I’ve personally found toners to be more effective than serums or creams. Everyone is different, but glow2oh from Olehenriksen has been a game changer for me.

I’ve been contemplating this one for some dark marks that acne left behind! I may have to grab it! :)

I bought it back in early February around the time I’d had a bad hormonal breakout. I was amazed how fast the spots lightened, and even bigger plus that it doesn’t flare up my rosacea.

That’s great to know! Nothing seems to be helping mine so I may have to grab this! I seem to have figured out what was causing me the acne for months but now to figure out how to get rid of the marks it left behind

I also recommend their banana bright vitamin c serum. I think the combo is what really did it for me. My skin is looking so bright these days ✨

It smelled too strong for me.

If your goal is to fade dark spots, you will need an impeccable approach to sun protection before anything else. If your sun protection game isn't on point, those dark spots aren't going anywhere no matter what expensive serum or toner you use.

Yes I have my spf

And you're using 1/2 tsp of product to cover your face and neck?

Lots of people skimp on sunscreen application, especially if they're using an expensive one.

Yes! My dark spots arent too bad, but just wondering if toner or cream can be even better

Are you fair-skinned and dealing with PIE/PIH and/or sun spots?

Prescription azelaic acid (coupled with religious sunscreen usage) was what worked best to treat those issues for me. Any general practitioner can prescribe Finacea as a treatment for acne or rosacea.

Not necessarily. How long have you been using the serum?

2 months

Do you feel like you’ve seen results with the serum?

I think so

I would stick to that. Too many treatments can do the opposite than what you want. I messed up my face overdoing it on acne products. Plus there’s the adage if it isn’t broken don’t fix it.
