My partner of two years broke up with me last night over the phone

My ex boyfriend and I were together unofficially for two and a half years. Our official two year anniversary was gonna be on the 22nd.

We had plans on Wednesday and he just didn’t show up. When I called him on Wednesday he just said he was feeling messy. Thursday I left him alone and then on Friday I called before I went to bed after three days of anxiety and worry, I asked him if he was trying to break up with me. He went silent and I begged for him to say something. He told me he was trying to avoid doing it over the phone.

He told me that he didn’t love me anymore and lost his feelings a while ago and spent time trying to find them again. He told me that he was really sorry and I was the perfect girlfriend. It was nothing I did and nothing I could’ve done.

I feel like my heart is ripped out of my chest. We had plans to travel in May so he could meet my family. We bought concert tickets. I already bought his anniversary presents.

I boxed up his things and the last package gets delivered to me on April 6th.

I feel so alone and abandoned and heartbroken.

I’m sorry this was long winded I just wanted to get it off my chest and express my feelings.
