Need some advice on jobs in London for someone with no real-world experience in the Motion Design world
Hi all
I'm getting a bit down and frustrated now I've been applying for jobs now for 3 months straight.
Applied for over 50 applications and contacted 80 companies direct now I've only had 1 Interview come out of all this. I've had a few people say they're not hiring but really like my work and to keep checking there LinkedIn page for jobs. I thought the interview for this one job went well and the task they set me I did well and they liked it but said "due to the current position of the company we went with someone a little bit more experienced"
Most applications I've applied for just get back to me saying they want someone with experience I'm straight out of study and apart from doing a 3-week internship for a tv company that was connected with my course I've not had any real-world experience
A lot of Junior roles out say anything from 2 - 4 years of experience and I'm just wondering how in the world I get any experience as someone new I mean everyone has to start out fresh at some point. I would have thought if you had 4 years of experience would be a mid-level person by now. I've looked past the "you need experience" bit on job applications since it might have just been an HR person who put that on there
It just feels like the same old saying can’t get a job coz you don’t have experience and can’t get experience because no one will give you a job
Anyone got any tips on how to get hired as someone new
