K40 stepper motor needs more juice

The y-axis motor on my K40 seems to need a little more juice. It randomly stops and buzzed while it is supposed to be moving. I have tried cleaning the carriage wheels, but that does not seem to have any effect. Is there a DIP switch or some setting that can give it a little more power? Thanks!
