Your strategy during your drop year that helped you get the college you want

I'm a NEET dropper and will be dropping another year cause I procrastinated and neglected my studies during my first drop year. I'll be going for offline coaching and this will be my second and last drop year too. Was wondering if you all went through the same thing and what did you do to lift yourself up? Any strategies that you followed religiously? Any suggestions/personal accounts will be appreciated.
