Do younger gamers still tilt the controller even when it has no effect on the game?

I'm a middle aged gamer, and even before I could drive, when playing mario kart, if there was a tight turn I wasn't sure I could make (rainbow road I'm looking at you) I would lean my whole body into the turn and also tilt the controller.

Obviously this never made an actual difference, I guess it was psychological.

I'm wondering if this is still a thing with gen z?
