Theory about Taissa

This is the theory I've had about Taissa since the first season (with the caveat that it might be way too straightforward for the show!): that the spirit possessing her came back now because it wants her to take political office so she can do something for the spirit in terms of laws/policy. You can see in the plot that it's doing everything it can, in it's creepy demonic way, to keep her on track to get (and stay in) power. (Most recently, it seems, trying to take out her ex-wife who threatened her career.) My original idea was that it's some kind of forest/nature spirit that wants her to pass a conservation law, since, if i recall, her position in the state government was over land policy. This idea appealed to me because I honestly love the idea of a (semi?) evil spirit being behind environmentalist policy. That's just funny to me.
