My Cosmic Byte Equinox Europha headset has a problem. Please help

Okay so i bought the cosmic byte europha equinox headset the other day. It is a usb headset. For some reason it has a strange problem. I haven't been able to find anyone having this problem online. When i plug in my headset through a usb extender, it works fine, i am also able to the the sound mode but when i try to mute the mic, change the rgb, turn up the volume or turn on 7.1 surround sound. The whole headset kinda freezes. Suddenly i am no longer able to use any options. I can't change sound mode, mute the mic, change the rgb etc. The rgb on the headset also freezes. I tried using it on other devices like my phone, computer etc and it works flawlessly on other devices but the problem seems to be jsut with the ps4. I have tried all the ways i could think of to solve this problem but nothing works. Please help, i don't want it and my money to go to waste. :(
