Can bad/oil oil cause my car to idle roughly and have trouble starting?

I'm bringing my car (2018 Nissan Micra, Canadian version) in for an oil change in a couple days. Recently, my car's been idling roughly and rarely when I start the engine, it sounds normal for a few seconds and then dies, so I have start the car again. Otherwise in runs normally and feels nice and smooth when I'm actually driving.

Could this be because of the bad/old oil? I'm gonna mention it to the mechanic when I bring it in but I figured I'd see what y'all think.
