Mapping a Mouse to Joystick Movement

So i wanted to try and make my own omnidirectional treadmill but i wanted to use a mouse input for moving in the same way as the kat walk c 2 since it would be generally easier to make. So, is there anyway to map mouse movement as the left joystick for in-game movement (ideally taking into account the speed however it's not that important).
