Season 6 Thought/Dropped Ball

So I’m getting ready to finish up my semi-annual rewatch and got to the episode, “Everybody Loves Hugo”.

Hugo episodes are interesting because they’re always lighter in tone right before things get dark in any given season.

In this episode, Ilana is blown up with dynamite like Arzt for a quick laugh.

Imo, this is a dropped ball.

Ilana mentions how they have the dynamite and are going to take the outriggers to Hydra island.

Later the group splits up. Richard and Miles do just that (off camera).

The writers could have put Ilana in that group and had them be the other Outrigger to close that mystery. Ilana could have been killed there. Hell, Richard could have gotten shot too and lived.

Instead of saying they couldn’t work the resolution in because the people they intended weren’t available .
